I have always wanted to make crochet cushions but was not quite ready for it since it is a tedious work (and I am too lazy) . I usually go for small projects which I can finish within a day or two.
I was scrolling through Pinterest the other day and found this beautiful Daisy Granny Square Cushion done by Dragana Savkov Bajic . You can see her amazing works here. So I finally decided to kill my laziness and grabbed my hook. That’s when I realized that I don’t have enough yarn for this project. I already had a few pastel colors for the granny square which I purchased online from Crafts Middle East. The rest I purchased from The Yarn Cupboard.

For the Daisy Flower I used Alize Cotton Baby Yarn which is 100% Cotton. This yarn gives a fluffy texture which looks really good on the cushion. The yellow center were made using Alize Bella which is also 100% cotton. For the granny square I used my all-time favorite Scheepjes Catona, 100% mercerized cotton.
So let’s go into the details of the crocheting process. You can find the pattern for the Daisy Granny Square here. Thank you Color ‘n Cream for this lovely pattern. I took almost 1 week to finish all my 16 granny squares. Now the next step was to join them. Dada’s place helped me with this and you can find the tutorial here .

For the border I did 2 rows of single crochet with white yarn and 2 rows with violet yarn (Scheepjes Catona). I wanted to make pom pom edges, but it did not turn out good so instead I made Bobble edges and you can find the tutorial here.

This is my ever first work on a pillow.
Happy Crocheting!
