  3. Ch 4 (counts as 1dc + ch1). *(3dc, ch2, 3dc) in the ch 2 space. Ch1, 3dc, ch1* repeat thrice. (3dc, ch2, 3dc) in the ch 2 space. Ch1, 2dc, sl st to the 3rd chain. Fasten off. Sew in the ends.

Make 6 tiny granny squares of each color. A total of 36 squares.

Joining

Decide a layout for your squares. I chose diagonally. You can arrange it horizontally or vertically or randomly.

Join the squares using invisible seam joining method. Click here for the tutorial.

Border

Standing single crochet in any stitch. Single crochet through out the border. Make 3sc in the 4 corner spaces. Sl St to the beginning sc. (6 times, so that the border is strong enough)

Tip: In the ch1 spaces, instead of single crocheting into the ch1 space, I would recommend to single crochet directly into the chain 1. It would give a neater border.

  • Row 1-2 : Larimar
  • Row 3-4 : Corundum Ruby
  • Row 5 : Enstatite
  • Row 6 : Larimar

Sew Fabric To The Backside

I prefer fabric on the backside, since it is easier:)

Select a fabric of your choice. Measure the crochet piece and cut the same size of fabric (Make sure to take a little more for the folding) . Fold the ends and machine sew upon it. You can either keep a zip or just an opening. I used a simple opening.

Keep both the fabric and crochet piece with the right side facing each other. Hand sew it together. Flip it. And Viola! Your Tiny Granny Square Cushion is ready!

Happy Crocheting !
