I have been thinking of crocheting a table runner for my coffee table for a while now. I either get lazy or gets so busy with any other project that I keep postponing this one. But finally I decided to crochet away.
Well, choosing the right pattern and colors was the biggest headache! Initially I decided to go with the below colorway even though I was not much happy about it

The shades I choose are as follows;
- Scheepjes® Chunky Monkey Anti Pilling Yarn – Camel (1710)
- Scheepjes® Chunky Monkey Anti Pilling Yarn – Chocolate (1004)
- Scheepjes® Chunky Monkey Anti Pilling Yarn – Smoke (2019)
- Scheepjes® Chunky Monkey Anti Pilling Yarn – Rosewood (1067)
I crocheted swatches as well to check whether these shades go in together.

Well, I realized that it’s not blending enough and decided to choose just two shades out of it.
I made 15 circles with Tawny and 8 circles with Camel. Oh yea, I interchanged Chocolate with Tawny (not much a difference though).

Joining all these circles took like forever. And sewing the ends were the real struggle😖

Once all the circles were joined, the runner was really curled up. So I blocked it to straighten it up.
I must say I am satisfied enough with the way it turned out (not 100% content though) . I guess it goes with the sofa, so it’s either this or that.

P.S. Okay, so it seriously looks like I am gonna crochet another table runner soon to replace this one!
Happy Crocheting!

I think it looks nice but yeah, I know the frustration of making something and it not living up to expectation (me with every hat I make for myself!). I think your original colour choices are lovely, would make a lovely cushion or blanket.

Thank you! It is good to hear that I am not the only one who gets frustrated for this 🙂
